HOW TO MEASURE
Everything you need to know about how to take your measurements.
NECK
* All measurements must be made in inches
To take a proper neck measurement place the tape around the base of the neck. To allow for a bit of ease in the collar add a finger inside the tape measure.
Neck measurements must be rounded to the Nearest 1/4″

YOKE
* All measurements must be made in inches
Going across the back, measure from shoulder end to shoulder end. Talk to the client and make sure he is happy with the placement of your fingers. Some customers prefer a drop shoulder.
Round up to nearest 1/2″

SLEEVE
* All measurements must be made in inches
The sleeve length starts from the centre back of the neck. Always measure sleeve directly after yoke, keeping your finger at preferred shoulder point (e.g. 20″). Slide tape measure without moving your finger to half of yoke measurement (e.g. 10″).
This will allow you to find the exact centre of his back. From this point start measuring the sleeve length running the tape around the back of the elbow and down to the wrist, to desired length. Don’t be afraid to ask the customer where he prefers his sleeves to finish. Round measurement to nearest 1/4″. Do not add any ease or shrinkage allowance. We will do this at our end.

CHEST
* All measurements must be made in inches
For the chest measurement, place tape measure around the largest part of the Client’s chest (usually just under the arms)
Round up to nearest 1/2″

WAIST
* All measurements must be made in inches
Measure the largest part of the stomach. This measurement is generally larger than the person’s pant size.

SEAT
* All measurements must be made in inches
Measure around the customer’s hip line, or at the biggest part of the seat.
Make sure there is nothing in his back pockets e.g. wallet

CUFF
* All measurements must be made in inches
With one finger under the tape, measure around the wrist. Take actual measurement. If customer prefers left cuff larger to accommodate for watch, add 1/2″ to actual cuff size.
Round to nearest 1/4″
